Our team is growing, and so is our People function. Together with our People & Office Manager, you will make sure everything runs smoothly, from the first job interview to the monthly payroll. To support us, we are looking for a committed (Junior) People & Office Manager (m/f/d) for our office in Berlin-Kreuzberg, starting immediately, either part-time (20–32 hours per week) or as a working student (15–20 hours per week).

Your mission

  • Recruiting: You will create job postings, actively approach candidates, guide applicants through the process and coordinate interviews.
  • HR administration & contracts: You will prepare employment contracts, addenda and certificates, and maintain personnel files and employee data in Personio.
  • Payroll coordination: You will help prepare the monthly payroll, review it and work closely with our payroll accountants.
  • HR processes & tools: You will contribute your own ideas and help us further develop our HR structures and tools.
  • Office management: You will help organise our office in Berlin-Kreuzberg, from placing orders to team events.
How much responsibility you take on in each area depends on your experience and your working hours.

Your profile

  • Part-time: You have initial professional experience in HR (approx. 1 year), e.g. as a Junior HR Generalist or HR Assistant.
  • Working student: You are enrolled at a university in Germany, ideally in human resource management, business administration, business psychology or a comparable field of study, and you already have practical HR experience, e.g. from a working student job or internship.
  • You have a basic knowledge of German employment law and are keen to deepen it.
  • You work carefully, in a structured way and independently, and you handle sensitive data confidentially.
  • You show initiative and enjoy building things, even when there is no ready-made handbook yet.
  • You speak fluent German and very good English.
  • You can be in our office 2–3 days per week.
  • Experience with Personio, DATEV or in a startup environment is a plus, but not a requirement.

Why us?

  • A varied role with real insight into building an HR function in a growing company.
  • Plenty of room to shape things and the chance to take on responsibility from day one.
  • Hybrid working with flexible hours, which is also compatible with studying, and the option to work remotely from elsewhere in the EU for up to 30 days.
  • 30 days' holiday (based on a 5-day week).
  • An Urban Sports Club "M Business" membership after six months with the company.
  • Modern equipment, breakfast, coffee and drinks, and a central office in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
  • Compensation: €17 per hour for working students; €42,000–55,000 gross per year for full-time employment (part-time pro rata).
